Hello dear friend,
March marks the beginning of springtime, reminding us once again that after winter, spring always comes. Here in Albania, spring is truly beautiful.
This winter has been challenging for us—especially for the boys and Taulant, who wake up at 5:30 a.m. every day to travel an hour or more to and from school. Just last week, as soon as we got into the car, Amos looked outside and said, “Look, there is sunlight—this means there is no more winter.” His simple words felt like a promise of hope.
Amos and Tevis both love GDQ, and it is such a blessing to see them head to school each day with joy. For a five-year-old like Amos, it is especially precious to watch him dress himself and be the first one ready each morning.
It is truly wonderful to see the kids growing and maturing. Their ability to write and express themselves in English has surpassed even our hopes. Here is a card that Amos made for our school director after she returned from her trip to raise support—it really touched our hearts.
We thank the Lord daily for the gift of being part of such a special community at GDQ. We want to give you an update on what’s happening at GDQ and how you can pray!
Lori Neuman, the director of GDQ, recently returned from a short but very productive trip to the U.S., and we are all so excited to see how God is moving. In the last six months alone, He has provided $345,000 toward our Phase 1 goal!
We are now entering the home stretch. We have just 2 weeks to raise the final $67,000 needed to secure the land and establish a lasting Christian presence in Albania for generations to come!

Why is this land so important?
While we support 44 mission organizations, ministry is happening right here at GDQ! Our students have been actively living out the Gospel in tangible ways. Recently, we’ve focused on:
- Spiritual Growth: Our Middle School Elevate Retreat and High School Spiritual Impact Week were incredible times of fun and spiritual growth, helping students draw closer to God.
- Outreach: Elementary students recently visited and encouraged the elderly in our community by making handwritten cards, singing songs, and giving hugs.
- Connection: We’ve loved hosting visiting teams from Lee University and Franklin Christian Academy, as well as cheering on our students at the middle school basketball tournament!
How you can help:
- Pray for Connections: Ask God to lead us to people who are excited to invest in the Gospel in Albania.
- Give: If you feel led to help close this $67,000 gap, you can donate here for the school.
Thank you for your prayers and support! If you have any questions—including about DAF giving—please feel free to reach out directly to Lori at lori.neuman@gdqschool.org.
